Team Overview
Brighton high school formed FIRST robotics team was formed just this year, 2011. We got together and came up with the name BUG. This stands for Brighton's United Geeks. This represents that we are united in teamwork, in ideas, and many other traits that we uses to make the best robot possible.
What is it?
FIRST is an acronym for "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. The FIRST Robotic Challenge (FRC) is a unique varsity sport for the mind, designed to help high-school-aged young people discover how interesting and rewarding the lives of engineers and scientists can be.
Why is it unique?
* It is a sport where participants play with and learn from the pros
* Designing and building a robot is a fascinating real-world professional experience.
* Competing brings participants as much excitement and gives as much of an adrenaline rush as conventional varsity tournaments.
* The game objectives and rules are a surprise every year.
